I had always enjoyed painting, drawing, creating. I majored in art in college! Jump ahead a year or so and I found myself with a young, busy family and didn't have any space left for art for a long time (god bless you parents that can do this!). I decided that art wasn't something for me at least in any real capacity. I dabbled and doodled and found other ways to create that didn't require as much silence and introspection from me such as knitting.
As I am fully in this middle (realistically, late-middle) period of my life, I find myself more attuned to the things that are drawing me in. I'm sure I will have future posts that will shed more light on this concept but, for the case of brevity, basically, I'm learning to listen to the still, quite voice in me and it's lead me to the now. The now is beautiful and feels like I am right where I should be.
